Aloe Body Toning Wrap
This is by far our most popular treatment.
Toning wraps can be used as a relaxing way to lose inches from your upper arms, upper legs, stomach and waistline. Toning wraps are designed to assist with trimming, toning and tightening up the body. The products help minimise the bumpy texture of the skin due to cellulite, smoothing and flattening fat cells for a firmer look.
The toning product we use is a specially prepared cream containing stabilised aloe vera gel, emulsifiers, moisturisers and humectants, together with the circulatory and warming agents, cinnamon oil and capsicum.
The effectiveness of the cream on the texture of the skin is due to the choice of ingredients used, and the massaging and wrap-action applied. The ingredients chosen provide a rich, warming and soothing action. The herbal extracts, imported from Europe, are known for their shaping and toning characteristics. The natural moisturisation and beautifying effects of nature's aloe vera and herbal extracts, together with the skin-reddening properties of natural capsicum and cinnamon oil provide an effective product.
Please note we are unable to use Toning products if:
- you are pregnant
- you have had recent surgery
- you have certain medical conditions including heart disease, phlebitis or circulatory problems.
What preparation do you need before the Toning Wrap?
Prior to your first toning wrap, we recommend that we test a small patch of skin to check for allergic reaction. If skin irritation or reaction occurs, rinse with water immediately and discontinue use.
If possible, we ask that you please wash and exfoliate your skin thoroughly before the toning wrap event.
For the Toning process itself, we advise you to wear a bikini or shorts and a top/bra that allow full access to your upper arms, thighs and abdomen areas. If you are attending a Toning Wrap and pamper party in someone else’s house, you may want to bring a dressing gown to wear while the wrap is in place!
How do we do Toning Wraps?
Step 1 – Mark and Measure
Prior to the toning process, we lay a tape measure flat against your skin and mark you with a permanent marker pen. These will be
- 2 marks on each upper arm
- 2 marks on each thigh
- 3 marks on the stomach area
Step 2 – Apply Aloe Body Toner and Plastic Wrap
We will smooth the toner liberally over the areas to be toned (please remember only the areas mentioned above can be safely toned). We will then wrap the areas being toned using plastic wrap (cling film type wrapping material).
Step 3 – Relaxation
While encouraging you to sit in a relaxed position, we will leave the wrap in place for 45 minutes- one hour. You should not engage in any strenuous physical activity or fall asleep.
Feeling thirsty after applying the toning product is normal as water is being lost within the body. We therefore recommended that you drink more water to enhance metabolism and accelerate the elimination of water and fat.
During this relaxation time, we can offer other pampering treatments for example facials, non-surgical face lifts, hand massages and feet massages. Alternatively, we can talk through the product range and discuss any products that could help you or someone you know.
Step 4 – removal of wrap, remeasurement and calculation of inch loss
After the hour (or less time if you feel uncomfortable) we will remove and discard the plastic wrap. We will then measure again, placing the tape measure at the same place as the original measurements were made.
We will subtract the after measurements from the original measurements giving you results for each area plus we will calculate the difference of your overall inch loss. If you wish, we will provide you with a record of your measurements to enable you to track your inch loss.
How long will the inch loss be maintained?
How long the results last depends on your actions following the wrap. If you maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise, the results will last longer.
If you are pleased with the results, we can arrange subsequent wrapping appointments as often as you wish (the procedure can safely be applied 2 or 3 times in the first week, with decreasing frequency in subsequent weeks according to the desired effect).
